How do I decide between a fixed-price contract versus cost-plus contract?<\/h4>\n

Some clients prefer predictability, which is what a fixed price contract provides. A detailed scope of the project will be set out within a firm budget. If you wish to make a change in the original scope that impacts the budget and\/or timeline, no problem; first, documentation and approval is required before proceeding with the project.<\/p>\n

Some clients prefer flexibility, which we can support. A cost-plus contract works when the scope of the project is anticipated to evolve. We would provide a cost range based on the original scope plus a fixed fee for General Contracting Services (which is based on the duration to complete the project). A detailed budget breakdown of all costs will provide you with transparency and budget control. With this type of contract, the scope, budget and\/or timeline can fluctuate.<\/p>\n
